Fabien receives the 2026 Thuréus price in Natural history and medicine by the Royal Society of Sciences in Uppsala, the oldest learned society in Sweden and one of the oldest in Europe. The prices recognizes his pioneering studies of the diversity and evolution of eukaryotes in the last 20+ years. This is a deep honor and all colleagues and collaborators that have contributed to this body of work are warmly acknowledged.
